BRUSSELS, Belgium, July 5, 2017 – ProVia, the safety-focused and reliable budget aftermarket parts brand for commercial vehicles, announced today that is celebrating its first anniversary. The new brand, launched by WABCO in 2016, marks its first birthday with a steady growth of its portfolio and global customer base.
Only one year after its launch, ProVia now offers more than 100 products specifically designed for aftermarket needs. With over 160 customers in more than 30 countries worldwide it is on its way of becoming the leading commercial vehicle budget replacement parts brand with no compromise on safety and reliability.
Driving the continued expansion of the brand is a steady stream of new product introductions, marked by the launch of three new products this year: Rotary Slide Valves, Spring Brake Actuators, and Air Dryers. In addition, ProVia extended its Clutch Servo product group by adding four additional variants. By the end of 2017 the brand plans to offer up to 25 product categories globally covering a majority of key replacement parts for key vehicles in a majority of global markets.
ProVia parts are specifically engineered to provide reliable performance and are manufactured to industry-leading standards, with no frills yet no compromise on quality or safety. ProVia helps distributors, workshops and fleet operators serving the commercial vehicle industry worldwide to bridge the gap between parts of questionable origin and premium aftermarket parts, striking a powerful balance between safety, reliability and cost.
Wide product range to meet the customer demand
When ProVia was first introduced it offered four product lines covering approximately 40 different products, including Brake Pads, Coupling Heads, Relay Valves, as well as Coiled and Straight Tubes. Today, ProVia offers no less than 12 product lines representing a 300% growth of its product range including the addition of Pressure Limiting Valves, Cartridges, Wheel Speed Sensors and Air Processing Units. Today ProVia represents more than 100 product references while covering around 500 OE cross references.
“We are extremely proud of the successes booked since we first launch ProVia and the increasingly growing number of recurring orders makes it clear that we are here to stay,” says Philippe Colpron, Vice President AfterMarket at WABCO, ProVia’s parent brand. “Our growing distributor partner base, built on long-term partnerships, is a clear sign that there is a need for a safe and reliable budget brand offering on the market, and we are proud to serve the increasing number of commercial vehicles and fleets relying on ProVia around the world.”
“We were part of the first wave of introductions of ProVia to our markets and a year later we continue to proudly supply ProVia parts to our customers,” says M. Kazem Oghabi, Managing Director at Monex, one of ProVia’s key customers in the Middle East and Africa. “The new brand has enabled us to reach new customers in the market and we look forward to celebrating ProVia’s second birthday next year!”
“We were extremely happy with the launch of ProVia,” states Ender Kıroğlu, General Manager of Batı Fren, a leading distributor in Turkey. “ProVia helps us increase our competitiveness by enabling us to reach a large market for affordable and quality spare parts in the region, something which is in high demand today.”
Behind the ProVia range is the industry-leading capability of WABCO’s extensive global engineering, manufacturing, distribution and service network for aftermarket parts. As a result, ProVia can ensure quick delivery times and high service levels as well as delivering a product range built on precise standards and qualitative performance levels.
“For the re-engineering process, we first examine the dedicated Original Equipment products to define the certificates and security specifications we need to meet. We then look at the Aftermarket use for these products and for potential cost-savings,” Philippe Colpron adds. “In essence the OE products are stripped from any frills without sacrificing on safety and reliability, delivering a qualitative, reliable and safety-driven budget product our customers can rely on.”
“The ProVia range meets our highest expectations for a budget range spare parts – it assures both quality and customer satisfaction – key drivers that enable our business,” adds Pedro Lebre, General Manager of Motorbus, a key distribution partner in Portugal.
